An allergy can be defined as an immune system disorder that causes a reaction in the body when you eat, touch, and even smell something that you are allergic to. Allergies can be very tricky, but the good news is that there is allergy relief for allergy sufferers. This disorder can be mild or sever, it all depends on how your body chooses to react to whatever you expose it to.
There are many different kinds of allergies, some very common ones are milk, soy, nut, fish, nickel, and dust mites. It even so happens that a person could have more than one of these allergies at a time. The symptoms that go along with this disorder vary by person because everyone's body chemistry isn't the same.
There are many symptoms that come along with this disorder. You can't really base your symptoms upon someone else's because they vary from person to person. Some of these symptoms can include sneezing, itchy and watery eyes, rash, runny nose, stuffy nose, and nasal congestion. A person could very well have all or just one of these symptoms. There are also symptoms for mild and seasonal allergies. With mild ones, one may experience swelling of the skin or a little discomfort. With seasonal ones, these are usually the kind that cause asthma attacks because of pollen and maybe fluid in the lungs.
Soy is an allergy that is very similar to the one of the peanut. Since they have so much in common, it's best for you if you avoid both irritants to stay clear of a breakout, rash, or something else happening. This can be a very severe irritant if you are not careful, so it's best that you avoid any foreign food since they usually cook with peanut oils and some foods are soy based.
There are a lot of people who are allergic to milk as well. This is an allergen that a lot of small children seem to have, but you can also develop this as an adult. This reaction happens when the body has a reaction to the proteins that are found in milk. These specific proteins are known as albumins. Sometimes this reaction is almost instantly, while other times, it may take a while. There are quite a few symptoms here. Some include eczema, hives, colic, stomach pain, runny nose, headache, and restlessness.
Fish happens to be a severe allergy that affects many people who are young and old. A lot of people don't realize they have such an allergy until an allergic reaction takes place. A lot of the time, a person who has a fish irritant will experience swelling of the tongue and maybe even a little tingle. While some people are able to only eat certain kinds of fish, others are not able to eat it at all.
Dust mites on the other hand are filthy little bugs that tend to live in our bed and covers because there, they have everything that they require to live. Some symptoms that go along here are itchy or runny nose and eyes and sneezing. These guys need food, warmth, and darkness to live, reproduce, and die. A few ways you will be able to avoid these bugs are to lower the temperature in your room, change the mattress and pillow covers frequently, and make sure that you don't have any carpet in the room.
Depending on how severe you get irritated by certain products will determine the type of medication that will be prescribed or suggested. Some people have irritants that seem to fade away over the years, but for others, they are here to stay forever.
